Swine Flu, something to be aware of!

This is information is handed out for Queensland teams travelling Interstate.

STRATEGIES TO REDUCE THE SPREAD OF SWINE FLU

There are a number of strategies for the team officials to follow to avoid Swine Flu. The students however should always keep in mind the following;

It is crucial that students are regularly reminded about not sharing drink bottles or food.

Students should have their own labelled drink bottle that is cleaned regularly.

All participants are encouraged to thoroughly wash their hands at regular intervals.

All students are encourage to cough onto the back of their forearm rather than into their hand.

All students are encourage to use disposable tissues which must be hygienically disposed of after a single use. Discourage use of handkerchiefs.

All students are to keep a distance from any person who appears to be ill.
