What NOT to take to Maroochydore

It is very important that you do not bring aerosol (spray) deodorant with you on the trip. People who suffer from Asthma can be seriously effected by the spraying of aerosols, in some cases having to go to hospital. Make sure that the deodorant that you bring in your bag is a roll on type.

Maroochydore Outline 2009

Participating Teams

Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Western Australia 1 and 2 (15’s only), Queensland, Victoria 12’s (Metro and Victoria Country 15’s), South Australia 12’s, and Northern Territory

Multisports Complex
Fisherman’s Road
Maroochydore

This is a 3 field venue. All games will be played at this complex.
A canteen, change rooms, administration room and warm up field (one of the 3 fields) are within the complex.

Dates

Departing Darwin

Central Australia squad members will depart Alice Springs on Wednesday 22/7/09 at 17:10 on flight QF1938 for Darwin

All squad members will depart Darwin for Brisbane on Virgin flight DJ446 at 01:35 on Thursday the 23rd July.

Arrive

SSNT 12's and 15's will be arriving two days before required and will reside at the Alexandra Park Conference Centre for two days and two nights before heading to the Maroochydore Multisports Complex to meet up with the billets on the morning of Saturday the 25th August.

Depart

All squad members will be departing Maroochydore on Saturday 1st August. Those flying to Darwin will leave Brisbane on flight DJ459 at 21:00. The Central Australian members will stay overnight in Brisbane and depart for Alice Springs on Sunday the 2nd August on flight QF981 at 08:45.

The Educational Excursion will be a tour to the Australia Zoo departing Maroochydore at 8.45am and returning at 4.30pm.

2008 Uniform

For those who wish to utilise components of the 2008 SSNT uniform, you need to ensure that your team manager or a SSNT official sight the garments you wish to reuse.

There are three items that can be reused again in 2009 (if they still fit).

Track suit top $52
Track suit pants $36
Windcheater $32

The cost of these items will be deducted from your levy payment, but remember a team official or SSNT official must sight the garments to ensure they are still acceptable for 2009.

Forms (Exchange)

There is still some outstanding paperwork that needs to be sorted, sooner rather than later. Especially the permission forms requiring a principal signature as school holidays are looming. Also I am still waiting on some documentation for ISP funding. We need to get that sorted this week (by 17th June)to ensure that everything is covered in time. If you have misplaced a form or not sure what you have outstanding see or contact Anthony.

Levy Payments (Exchange)

The second instalment of the levy payments is due on the 21st June. Squad members are asked to pay the $400 either at training, by posting a cheque or money order or by making an on-line deposit into the Commonwealth bank account.

Please ensure that all levy payments are up to date, today is the last banking day prior to the cut off date, if you do not have internet banking access.

Cash, cheques or monies orders can be handed over at training or posted (not cash) to the address found on the Newsletter No.1 concerning payments.

Uniform Requirements

Part of your levy payments covers the cost of your SSNT Uniform, you may still have a uniform from last year that still fits you. If you do, you maybe able to use some of that gear again in 2009.

To be able to do so you need to ensure that it is checked off by myself or a representative of the team or SSNT to make sure that it still fits, is still in good condition and that it hasn't been changed from 2008.

Forms are required to be completed and handed into Anthony Venes, it is better that these forms are completed sooner rather than later. If you having difficulty with any of the forms please do not hesitate to contact Anthony either by phone or email.

Forms can be posted, submitted electronically after being scanned or handed to Anthony Venes at training sessions.
